Performance Upgrades and modifications

We can fit pretty much anything from engine upgrades such as intakes, exhausts, intercoolers etc, to full turbo and super charger kit installs. We also offer Suspension upgrades and setup, brake upgrades from standard disc/pad changes to big brake setups etc and tyre fitting.

We also offer a range of full custom design and build services from fuel systems, wiring jobs, engine swaps and fabrication for both steel and aluminium for items such as custom exhaust system, intakes, intercoolers and piping, we even build, design and install our own turbo/supercharger kits. The only thing we don’t really do is panel and paint.

 Custom Fuel System

Have a build that has a big fuel demand?

We have built systems to handle in excess of 1500hp, for both pump gas and alcohol fuel blends such as E85. Surge tank installs for track based cars or vehicles needing twin pump setups. We make and run all our lines in house so that we are confident they have been build right to LVVTA and NZ Motorsport standards. We even will arrange certification for the system if it requires it.

Unlike some companies that throw the largest injectors the can get their hands on, we will size injectors correctly for power requirements and tuning limitations to suit the build properly as deal with the headaches at the tuning end from oversized or undersized injectors.

Our brand of choice Aeroflow to ensure that the system is of great quality and safe. We are happy to use other brands of lines, fitting and fuel parts, however they need to be of a known and reliable brand, we will not fit generic unbranded “ebay” fuel parts, lines and fittings, as the last thing anyone needs is a high pressure fuel leak that results in a phone call to the fire department.

Custom Wire installs

From battery relocation, kill switches to full vehicle re-wire required for aftermarket standalone ECU’s, we even design and make custom adapter harness for Honda’s.

All of our wire installs are to factory standards, with crimping or soldering wires based on where the wiring is situated in the vehicle, all of our connections are heat-shrinked, ducted and zip tied away when needed for a quality clean and tidy install.

We are also able to build system to military specifications for high end motorsport applications.

Engine Swaps

Your engine in your car just isn’t doing it for you? have you though of swapping it out for something different, Over the years we have built many cars with different engine swaps, from 1UZ and LS swaps into RX7’s, to K-Swaps into Honda chassis (this is a specialty of ours). We can do the whole install from start to finish, including all the custom exhaust and intake/charge piping work, wiring the vehicle, building the fuel system, right up to the final tune, we can even arrange the LVVTA Low volume certification. And don’t worry too much if engine mounts not available as we can design and make these in house.

The latest in the works is finishing off a 2JZ swap into a 90’s C200 Mercedes, A Honda K-Series into a GE Honda Fit that’s already to be started, and currently in planning a forged BMW N54 3.0L Twin turbo into a BMW E30 chassis.

 Custom Fabrication

With the merger between Torque Performance and R Developments, this has brought together tools and a skill set to do all our fabrication work in house. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the ability to fabricate our own parts, as outsourcing can become to much work and expensive for the customer with the cost of transporting a car around the place.

So if you need a custom exhaust system, downpipe’s, intake or intercooler piping, we will even make a custom intercooler or exhaust manifold if you need it. If you are having trouble fitting something that needs cutting/drilling and welding, or some custom brackets made we can do this all in house.
