2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

Another car with a story of its own. Built and tunes by another factory but has never run right. Had a Cobb accessport with some odd tune on it, so we put it back to factory and got to work.

While getting into the tune we were seeing the nothing we changed in the boost control maps made a difference so we thought there might have been an issue with the Grimmsport 3 port boost control the customer advised was fitted to the car, so we popped the bonnet to have a look and what we found I admit made us laugh.

Tracing the boost/vacuum lines we found the controller was only half plumbed in and someone had fitted a manual boost tap to the vehicle obviously because they couldn't figure out how to plumb the Grimspeed unit in.

Got it back together and finished the tune with the best results the car has ever seen - 301kW (256.7WkW) & 422Nm (359 WNm).
